Papers past

While these days Martinborough is a Mecca for marrying couples it appears that this was not always so. The Wellington Evening Post reported that on July 11th 1938 the Venerable Archdeacon Bullock married Noeline Florence only daughter of Mr and Mrs K C Holmes of Martinborough to Edward Ernest only son of Mr and Mrs H Hatton of Martinborough. The ceremony being carried out at St Peter’s Church Willis Street Wellington.
