Mushroom and cheese tart
Ingredients
250gr pastry.
25gr butter
250gr mushrooms slices.
2 tbsp dry sherry.
1 tbsp cornflour.
250 gr. medium cheddar cheese


milk.
cayenne pepper, marjoram, salt, pepper.

Method
Roll pastry thinly and fit into 23cm. pie plate. Chill while filling is being made.
Melt butter in saucepan and add mushrooms and sherry add pinch of marjoram, salt pepper and simmer covered until the mushrooms are cooked.
Mix cornflour with a little milk and thicken the mushrooms. – Allow to cool.
Pour the mushroom mixture into the pastry, cover with the grated cheese and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.
Bake at 190o until pastry is golden brown – aprox. half an hour.
