Patrick McDonald opened a Hamburger outlet on Huntington Drive near Monrovia Airport in California in 1937 . In 1940 his sons Maurice and Richard relocated the building 64kms to San Bernardino.
The ‘menu’ consisted of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, French fries, apple pie and drinks. Hamburgers were 15 cents and ‘All the orange juice you can drink’ for 5 cents.
