Responding to Climate Change

Dec 2011

On 17 January Dr Adrian Macey, Chair of the Kyoto Protocol negotiations, will be giving a free public talk about international efforts to address what has become one of the major issues of our time.

He is uniquely placed to offer interesting insights into multi-lateral efforts to address this challenge and we are very fortunate to have someone of his calibre available to speak in the Wairarapa.

Dr Macey was NZ’s first climate change ambassador from 2006-2010, and has wide experience of multilateral negotiations, including the Uruguay and Doha rounds of the GATT/WTO. He is a Senior Associate of the Institute of Policy Studies, School of Government, Victoria University.

Prior to his work in climate change, Adrian served in various positions in the Ministry Foreign Affairs and Trade, including Ambassador to Thailand, Chief Trade Negotiator, and Ambassador to France, Algeria and the OECD in Paris.
When and Where: Cody Room at Masterton Town Hall, Tuesday 17 January at 1 pm. Admission is free but seating is limited.
