The South Wairarapa District Council staff held a “Black Friday” on the 21st October to show support for the All Blacks in the World Cup Final. This was the second such event, the first being at the beginning of the World Cup.
The staff had made a morning tea with a black and white theme
and wore black to show their support for the All Blacks. Note the wonderful avocado rugby balls (made by our creative roading engineer).
Even an Australian staff member wore black, showing up two of the incorrectly attired Irish members of staff (one was sent home in disgrace to correct his mistake and was allowed to be in the “Team Photo”).
The Team members at the Council were 100% backing black no matter what the outcome.
