The experts show how it’s done.

Barrel racing time has come around again with this years races being held on Saturday 16th of this month commencing at 4pm. Once again the staff of the various vineyards will pit their skills in an effort to dethrone last years winners, Palliser Vineyard.

Meanwhile the local businesses have been putting the final touches to their trolleys for the Craft Barrel racing. Last year it was noted that some entries had modifications which could have posed a risk of injury. This year new safety features have been have been introduced along with official scrutineering of entries.

Racing is very hot work for the contestants who really appreciate a bit of cooling moisture as the go by. Spectators are urged to bring along a good supply of water balloons

As usual many of the athletes taking part add to the fun by their innovated costumes. Plenty of laughs are guaranteed, so do your self a favour
And come join the fun (mark the calendar; Saturday 16th 4pm).
